The experience
The tour picks you up from your Amman hotel at 7 AM and heads south through Jordan's largest nature reserve, Dana Biosphere Reserve, where you get 15 minutes to breathe the air from Dana Mount before moving on to Shobak Castle. Built by Crusaders in 1115, the castle sits on a dramatic hill. You walk inside its chambers and walls to see the landscape from above. By 1 PM you reach Little Petra (Siq al-Barid), a quieter counterpart to the famous site where you wander through Nabatean rock-cut tombs and intricate carvings before the driver takes you to your hotel in Petra City, a three-minute walk from the visitor center.
On day two, you start at 7 AM heading to Petra itself: a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 3rd century BC. You explore the Treasury (Al Khazna), almost 40 meters high and carved with Corinthian capitals and friezes; the Djinn blocks, three enormous monuments standing beside the path; the famous Siq canyon and its water canals; and other sites the guide points out. By 5 PM you arrive in Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon, where towering sandstone mountains rise from the desert floor. You spend the night in a Bedouin-style camp and eat an open buffet dinner featuring Zarb, meat cooked in an underground oven. The camp offers star gazing and optional sunset yoga. Jeep tours and camel rides are available but cost extra.
On day three you leave Wadi Rum at 8 AM, cross through Aqaba, and reach the Dead Sea by 1 PM. You float for two hours, stop to see the Saltstone formations and view Jerusalem Mount across the water, then head back to Amman, arriving by 5:30 PM for hotel drop-off. The car stays air-conditioned throughout, with Wi-Fi, soft drinks and mineral water provided. A power bank charges your phone during the drive.

What is Petra like when you first walk through the Siq?
The Siq is a narrow canyon carved by the Nabataeans that leads to the Treasury, the site's most famous monument. You walk through the canyon walls before emerging to see the Treasury facade, almost 40 meters high and decorated with Corinthian capitals and carved figures.
Can you do activities in Wadi Rum, or is it just a place to sleep?
Wadi Rum offers several activities during your evening and night there. Star gazing happens after dark. Sunset yoga with panoramic desert views is optional and runs without an instructor. Jeep tours with an English-speaking driver and camel rides are available but cost extra and are not included in the tour price.
What happens at the Dead Sea? Do you just float, or is there more to see?
You float for two hours in the Dead Sea's salt water, which naturally keeps you buoyant. The tour also stops at the Saltstone formations and points out Jerusalem Mount visible across the water before heading back to Amman.
What is Shobak Castle and why stop there?

Does the tour include meals, and what kind of food do you eat?
Breakfast and dinner are included. On day two in Wadi Rum, dinner is an open buffet featuring Zarb, a traditional Bedouin dish of meat cooked in an underground oven. Other meals are not included in the tour price.
What is Little Petra, and how is it different from Petra?
Little Petra (Siq al-Barid) is a smaller archaeological site north of Petra, also built by the Nabataeans. It has rock-cut tombs and intricate carvings but offers a more intimate, quieter experience than the famous Petra site you visit on day two.
