Walk into a converted Guinness Power Station and blend your own whiskey in Dublin

You'll tour the distillery, choose between a blending workshop where you build your own Old Fashioned or a flavor-mapping session to find your taste profile, then relax with a signature cocktail in the Power House Bar. The whole thing takes a few hours and includes the guided tour, your workshop, and the final drink — nothing else to arrange or pay for separately.

Step-by-step itinerary

  • Join guided Roe & Co Distillery tour
  • Explore former Guinness Power Station
  • Choose blending or flavors workshop
  • Create whiskey blend or identify taste profile
  • Relax with signature serve at Power House Bar

The Experience

You're stepping into the former Guinness Power Station in Dublin's Liberties district, where Roe & Co Distillery now operates in what used to be one of the city's most recognizable industrial buildings. The space itself is part of the draw — high ceilings, original brick, the kind of place that feels like it's been waiting for a second life. Your guide walks you through how the distillery works, the grain, the aging, the whole process that turns raw ingredients into something you'll actually want to drink.

Then you pick your path. The Blending experience puts you in Room 106, where you're not just tasting whiskey — you're building your own Whiskey Old Fashioned, learning how the five pillars of flavor work together and why one drop changes everything. Or you go the Flavors route, which is less about making something and more about identifying what your palate actually responds to, mapping your taste profile against what Roe & Co produces. Both options take the same amount of time, so it's really about whether you want to leave with something you made or something you understand about yourself.

After the workshop, you settle into the Power House Bar with a signature Roe & Co serve — this isn't a rushed tasting-room pour, it's a proper drink in an actual bar, and you've got time to sit with it. The whole experience runs a few hours, and it's English-language only, so there's no translation lag. You need to be over 18 with valid ID, and the space is fully wheelchair accessible if that matters for your group.

What’s included

Your experience includes a guided tour of the Roe & Co Distillery, your choice of either the Blending workshop (where you build a Whiskey Old Fashioned in Room 106) or the Flavors experience (mapping your taste profile), and a signature Roe & Co cocktail served in the Power House Bar.

Top questions

What's the difference between the Blending and Flavors experiences?
Blending has you mix and build a Whiskey Old Fashioned in Room 106, learning how the five flavor pillars work. Flavors is about identifying your taste profile against what the distillery produces. Both include the tour and the Power House Bar drink.
Is there food included?
No food is included in the standard experience. The chocolate and confectionary pairing option mentioned in the description appears to be a separate upgrade not detailed in the core itinerary.
What if I don't drink whiskey?
The experience is built around whiskey tasting and blending, so it's not designed for non-drinkers. You'd be tasting throughout the workshop and finishing with a cocktail.
Is it wheelchair accessible?
Yes. All areas and surfaces are wheelchair accessible, and public transportation options are available nearby.
Can I bring someone under 18?
No, it's strictly over 18s only. Valid age ID is required.
What language is the tour in?
English only.
