The experience
You meet at Sanur Beach 30 minutes before the 8:00 am departure, then board a fast boat for a 50-minute crossing to Nusa Penida. The boat carries you across open water to the island's main harbor, where a local guide and air-conditioned vehicle wait to take you through the day. Transportation, all entrance fees and parking are included, so there are no stops to pay at each site.
Kelingking Beach is the centerpiece: a white sand beach backed by a cliff shaped like a finger, with a steep path down to the sand itself if you want to walk it. Most visitors stay at the clifftop restaurant and viewing point to photograph the beach and ocean below. From there, the guide takes you to Broken Beach (Pasih Uug), a circular rock formation with a natural pool and high cliffs that legend says was once a village. The site sits in Bunga Mekar Village and is known for stingrays and sea turtles when conditions allow. Nearby is Angel's Billabong, a natural pool between cliffs that fills at high tide and drains at low tide, leaving crystal-clear water for swimming if the tide cooperates. Crystal Bay, the final stop, has calm water, white sand and a small island offshore popular for snorkeling. It has only small local food stalls, no large restaurants.
The day ends with a return boat crossing to Sanur and drop-off at your hotel. Lunch and bottled water are provided. The roads to the sites are narrow and the island is hot, so the pace is steady but not rushed. Early arrival at the meeting point secures a spot on the first boat of the day.

Top questions
How long is the boat ride from Sanur to Nusa Penida?
The fast boat takes approximately 50 minutes to cross from Sanur harbor to Nusa Penida harbor, with the return journey the same duration.
What time does the tour start and when do I need to arrive?
The fast boat departs at 8:00 am from Matahari Terbit harbor in Sanur. You must gather at Sanur Beach 30 minutes before departure, so arrive by 7:30 am.
What is Kelingking Beach actually like when you get there?
Kelingking Beach is a white sand beach with extremely high cliffs that form a shape like a pinkie finger, which is how it got its name. The sand is rarely walked on. If you want to reach it, you need to navigate a steep and demanding path. Most visitors view and photograph from the clifftop restaurant instead.
Can you swim at any of the beaches on this tour?
Crystal Bay has calm, protected water suitable for swimming and sunbathing. Angel's Billabong is a natural pool between cliffs where you can swim if the tide is low enough to access it. Broken Beach is primarily a viewing site rather than a swimming spot.
What's included in the price, and what do I need to bring?
The tour includes private transportation, hotel pickup and drop-off, all entrance fees and parking, lunch, mineral water, a local guide and the fast boat transfer both ways. Wear comfortable walking shoes with good grip (not slippery sandals), bring sun protection and a camera. The island is hot and the roads are narrow.
Is this tour suitable for someone who gets seasick?
The tour includes a 50-minute fast boat crossing, so it is not recommended for travelers prone to seasickness. The boat operates in open water between Sanur and Nusa Penida.
