Vienna Kaiserschmarrn Cooking Class with Chef
Make Kaiserschmarrn the way Vienna does it, then eat it warm
A one-hour cooking class in a traditional Viennese restaurant where you learn to prepare Kaiserschmarrn—the classic Austrian dessert—from an award-winning chef. You'll discover the history and technique behind the dish, bake it yourself, taste it fresh with coffee, and leave with the original recipe to recreate it at home. Available in English or German; children welcome from age 7.
The Experience
You arrive at a traditional Austrian restaurant in Vienna's heart and step into a working kitchen where an award-winning Viennese chef teaches you the real method behind Kaiserschmarrn. This isn't a demonstration you watch from a stool—you're handling the ingredients, learning the baking technique, and finding out the tricks that separate a proper Kaiserschmarrn from a failed attempt. The chef walks you through why this dessert was originally made, what it was meant for, and how the Viennese have prepared it for generations.
You'll bake your own Kaiserschmarrn in the restaurant's kitchen, and when it comes out of the oven, you taste it warm with a typical Viennese coffee. The whole class runs about an hour, and you leave with the original recipe written down so you can attempt it at home. You can choose between the traditional version or a vegan Kaiserschmarrn, depending on what you want to learn to make.
