The experience

The drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi takes roughly an hour and forty-five minutes, crossing two bridges to reach the island capital. Along the way you pass Jebel Ali Port, the world's largest man-made port, before arriving at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: the eighth largest in the world. After the mosque, the tour moves through Heritage Village, then follows the Corniche, Abu Dhabi's waterfront boulevard, where you stop to photograph the skyline and Breakwater Island. A drive past the Presidential Palace and Etihad Towers comes next, with a photo stop at Ferrari World.

Lunch is on your own at a designated stop. The final major stop is Louvre Abu Dhabi, where admission is included and you have proper time to walk the collection. The tour wraps inside the eight to nine hour window, which accounts for travel, stops and the museum visit. Your guide is English-speaking and with you throughout. Pickup from your Dubai hotel is included. Bottled water is provided during the drive. Women are given a black abaya at the mosque entrance.
