Thai Cooking Class Phuket: Make Four Dishes, Take Recipes Home
Cook four Thai dishes at your own station, then eat what you made
A hands-on Thai cooking class in Phuket where you prepare four traditional dishes—green curry, Panang curry, Pad Thai, and mango sticky rice—at your own cooking station with a live English-speaking guide. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, along with ingredients, recipes and video tutorials to recreate the dishes at home. A market tour option lets you explore Thai produce before class.
The Experience
You get picked up from your Phuket hotel in the Kata, Karon, Patong or Rawai Beach area and brought to the cooking school. The class runs three hours and starts with an explanation of the ingredients you'll use and how to prepare them. You work at your own station, not watching a demonstration—you're the one handling the knife, the paste, the pan. The guide walks through each dish as you cook: green curry (which you make the paste for from scratch), Panang curry, Pad Thai with the school's secret sauce, and mango sticky rice. You choose the spice level for the curries. If you have dietary restrictions—vegetarian, vegan, halal, or food allergies—let the school know when you book and they'll adjust the ingredients.
After you finish cooking, you sit down and eat the four dishes you just made. The class includes coffee or tea and a welcome soft drink. You take home the recipes and the tips the guide shared, plus access to video tutorials so you can remake the dishes in your own kitchen. The school simplifies traditional recipes so they work outside Thailand. If you book the market tour option, it happens before class—you'll walk through a Thai market and taste the fresh fruits Thailand is known for, which gives you a sense of the ingredients before you start cooking.
Transportation is private, so you're not sharing a van with other groups. Bottled water is included. The school is wheelchair accessible, and children from age four can join if accompanied by an adult (younger children can sit with a parent at one station). You're back at your hotel by the end of the class.

What four dishes do I actually cook in this class?
You cook green curry (making the paste yourself), Panang curry, Pad Thai with the school's secret sauce, and mango sticky rice. You choose how spicy the curries are.
Does the market tour happen before or after the cooking class?
The market tour is an option you add at checkout and happens before the cooking class starts. You'll taste fresh Thai fruits and see the ingredients the school uses.
Can I bring my kids, and do they cook too?
Children from age four are welcome if an adult is with them. Younger children can share a cooking station with a parent; older kids typically get their own station.
Do I need cooking experience to join?
No—the guide explains each step and you work at your own station. The school simplifies traditional recipes so anyone can recreate them at home.
What happens if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?
Tell the school when you book—they accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and halal diets, and can adjust for food allergies. Let them know what you need so they have the right ingredients ready.
Do I get to keep the recipes?
Yes. You take home the written recipes and secret tips from the guide, plus access to video tutorials so you can follow along while cooking at home.
