The Experience

The ride starts in Kennedy Park in Miraflores, where your guide fits everyone to their bike and covers a brief safety introduction before you set off. From there, the route moves through three distinct sides of Lima: first inland through the peaceful olive groves of El Olivar, one of the city's oldest parks, where you'll stop to see the original stone mill used to press oil centuries ago and a lagoon where local wildlife gathers. Then back toward the coast to pass Huaca Pucllana, an adobe pyramid built over 1,500 years ago in the middle of modern neighborhoods—you view it from outside, so no ticket is needed.

The coastal stretch is where the ride opens up. You cycle through Miraflores on a network of bike lanes before reaching the boardwalk at the Marina Lighthouse, where the Pacific spreads out in front of you. The guide stops at Love Park, known for its colorful mosaics and sculpture overlooking the ocean, and points out Larcomar—a shopping center built into the cliffs so cleverly that most visitors miss it from street level. Then the route heads into Barranco, Lima's most artistic neighborhood, where you pass the Peace Bridge and cycle along Sáenz Peña avenue lined with restored mansions, galleries and boutique hotels. You'll have free time to wander Bajada de Baños, see the famous Bridge of Sighs and street art, then stop at the Bresciani Viewpoint for a final view over the water before cycling back to Miraflores.
