The Experience
Five hours aboard a shared catamaran means three separate snorkel stops without the logistics of booking them separately. You leave from Aqua Safari Pier with snorkel gear and a life vest already fitted, and a certified guide assigned to the water. Palancar Reef comes first — the site known for colorful coral formations and tropical fish in clear water, suitable for all swimming levels. After that, Columbia Reef offers a different wall of coral with stingrays and moray eels moving through it.
El Cielo is the sandbar stop, shallow turquoise water where starfish sit on the bottom and you can stand in knee-deep water and still see them. El Cielito, a separate reef area nearby, brings you back into deeper water with manta rays and more tropical fish. Between stops, the catamaran carries you under sail with live music playing, unlimited drinks (water, soft drinks, margaritas), and a meal of hot dog, fish ceviche and fruit served onboard. The waterslide launches from the deck into the open Caribbean — you climb the ladder, slide down and drop straight into the water.
The boat is shared with a maximum of 70 guests, which keeps the atmosphere lively without crowding the snorkel sites themselves. A certified guide in English or Spanish stays in the water with the group, so someone is there if you have questions about what you are seeing or if you need help with the gear. All costs, taxes and fees are included in the price, so there is nothing to settle at the end of the day.
