You walk straight into the vineyard from the courtyard—no shuttle, no drive up a mountain road. The Corte San Mattia sits close enough to Verona that you can see the city's roofline from the terrace where the tasting happens, but far enough into the hills that the vines are what surrounds you. A guide takes you through the cellar first, past the barrels where the Amarone sits aging, and explains what makes each wine different—the Valpolicella Superiore spends longer in oak than the regular Valpolicella, the Ripasso gets a second fermentation that changes everything.
