The experience
You start by learning how to make pizza dough from scratch using the traditional method: the stretch, the feel of the dough, the way it holds air. Then you top your own pizza with fresh, high-quality ingredients, slide it into the wood-fired oven, and watch it bake. The class is small enough that the pizzaiolo works with you directly, not lecturing from the front of a room. You're on a panoramic terrace the whole time, with views across the Gulf of Sorrento and toward Mount Vesuvius.
After your pizza comes out of the oven, you sit down and eat it. The class includes a glass of local wine, bottled water, and dessert, so the final part is not a rushed tasting but an actual meal, the thing you made, the way it's meant to be eaten. The whole experience runs about two hours, which leaves the rest of your day open. Pickup is included, and the guide speaks English or Italian.
