The experience
The class starts with a refreshing aperitif of local products, then moves into the kitchen to make ravioli by hand: the centerpiece of the three-course meal. Between courses comes a traditional eggplant parmigiana prepared the light Caprese way, never breaded, and for dessert a gluten- and dairy-free lemon cake from the host's family. Each dish is paired with a tasting of organic regional wines selected from small natural wine producers in the region. Those under 18 or skipping wine get lemon water instead. The recipes are simple to follow and use basic equipment, mostly your hands, so you leave knowing how to recreate them at home.
The home is an eight-minute walk from Capri's center, or reachable by taxi or bus if you prefer. You'll spend the afternoon in an intimate, local setting rather than in a tourist kitchen, and the host opens their home as a genuine cooking space where the meal is shared on the terrace at the end. The whole point is to take what you learn back with you and cook it for people at home, so the focus stays on techniques and ingredients you can actually find and use.
