The experience

The vehicle is already waiting at your hotel when you're ready. Your private guide meets you there, and within minutes you're moving through Udaipur's streets toward the City Palace: a 450-year-old structure that still dominates the skyline. You'll spend time inside the museum (entry fee separate) walking through the Mardana Mahal and Zenana Mahal, the sections that were formally opened to the public in 1969. After the palace, the guide takes you to Jagdish Temple, which has been in continuous worship since 1651 and sits just outside the palace walls. It's a working temple, not a museum.
