The experience

The tour starts at the Yo Amo Petén sign in Flores at noon, then travels through the Petén landscape to Tikal National Park in an air-conditioned vehicle. Temple III rises above the canopy, and Temple IV, the tallest structure at about 65 meters, offers views across the treetops where the pyramids emerge between them.
