The experience
The boat departs Paros and heads first to Despotiko, a small islet behind Antiparos where you can swim in clear water and walk among the ruins of a Temple of Apollo. The captain serves fresh local snacks and refreshments as you explore. From there, the route passes Faneromeni Cove in the south, where white volcanic rock formations called tafoni rise from the water: a stop for photos and a closer look at the geology. You'll pass the Antiparos Caves at a scenic distance, close enough to photograph but far enough to see their scale against the cliff.
The Blue Lagoon, also called Panteronisia, is the main swimming and snorkelling stop: the water is shallow and clear, and snorkelling equipment is provided. Around midday, the boat anchors at Antiparos town, where you can walk the narrow streets and eat lunch if you want to, or stay on board. The final stop is Fera, a sandbar in the Antiparos-Fera Canal, where you can swim again and relax before heading back to Paros. Throughout the day, the captain offers beer, wine, soft drinks, water and light finger food.
Because the tour is private, the schedule bends to where you want to spend time. If one cove holds you longer, the boat stays. If you'd rather skip Antiparos town and swim instead, that's the plan. The captain speaks English and knows the water. You just decide when to get in and when to move on.
