The experience

The boat leaves Alyki at 10:00 and heads south to Blue Lagoon first, where you swim and snorkel in clear water for about 30–45 minutes. From there it moves to Epitafios for another swim, then to the Antiparos Sea Caves on the south side of the island: a set of rock formations carved by water erosion where you can swim in the shallows, explore passages, or attempt cliff jumping if you're confident. The final stop is Despotiko, an island under archaeological excavation, where the crew serves a light meal (kebab, salad, vine-leaf dumplings, pita, fresh fruit) and drinks while you float in a sheltered spot.

Snorkeling equipment (mask and noodles) comes with the tour, along with sun-mattresses and a life vest. The boat is 18 metres long, moves at 10 knots, and carries a three-person crew. Bring your own towel and sunscreen. The captain adjusts the stops if weather shifts. A sunset tour runs Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday for over three hours, with two swimming stops (Blue Lagoon and Pnteronisia) and a final stop at Campana Island where you get a snack and up to two glasses of wine or beer.

Is this one for you?The morning departure suits anyone with a half-day free and a taste for water. You swim at four different sites without the time commitment of a full-day excursion. The sunset tour works better if you want fewer stops and a slower pace, trading the sea caves for wine and a longer float at Campana Island.
