The experience

The boat leaves Antiparos at 9:30 AM or Pounda at 10:00 AM and sails for an hour to reach Panteronissia, the first stop. The lagoon sits in shallow azure water that is not accessible from the main islands, and after your first swim the crew serves morning coffee or juice on board alongside marinated fish, fresh tomatoes from their garden, and ouzo or wine. This is where the day sets its pace: no rushing between stops, no crowded beaches, no schedule that leaves you standing in line.

An hour of sailing along the rocky southern coast of Antiparos brings you to Mastichari Cave, where white rocks frame small sea caves suitable for cliff jumping if you want it, or snorkeling if you don't. The boat then passes the Epitaphios cave on the way to Despotiko, where the crew grills fresh fish or chicken souvlaki in shallow water. Lunch arrives with Greek salad, potato salad and cold beer. You choose between fish or chicken when you book. After 45 minutes at Despotiko, the return journey includes one more swim at Faneromeni Bay and fresh fruit before the final hour of sailing back to port by 4:30 PM.

The boat holds up to 25 people, which means you are not packed shoulder-to-shoulder but you are not alone either. Sunbeds line the deck for the stretches between stops. Unlimited bottled water flows throughout the day, and your 3 drinks (pick from wine, beer, ouzo, soft drinks or cocktails like Aperol Spritz, Mojito or Piña Colada) are yours to space across the afternoon however you like. Snorkeling equipment is on board if you want it.
