Step-by-step itinerary
Private cruise along Paros south coast
- Depart from Paros
- Stop at Panteronisi for swimming and snacks
- Visit Faragas beach, enjoy bars and scenery
- Explore Trypiti beach and cave, snorkel
- Relax at Lolantonis beach
The experience
You board a private boat at a set meeting point and spend the morning and early afternoon moving down Paros's protected south coast, where the geography shields the beaches from north winds. The first stop is Panteronisi, one of three uninhabited islets known locally as the Caribbean of the Aegean Sea for their emerald turquoise water. You swim and relax between the islets while the captain sets out snacks and drinks on board.
From there the route moves to Faragas beach, a small cove backed by low rocks, fine sand and trees that reach almost to the waterline, with a couple of bars at the top if you want coffee or a drink ashore. Next is Trypiti, a secluded beach famous with locals for its windless waters and a sea cave a short walk up the beach. The cave has a large hole at the top where sunlight pours through, and the clear water makes it a favorite for snorkeling. The final stop is Lolantonis, a small bay bordered by rocks with blonde sand and tamarisk trees, named after the taverna on the hill above it. Throughout the day you have snorkeling equipment available, towels, fresh fruit, and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks.
The boat returns you to the meeting point after four hours. Because the route follows the south coast and the three stops are close to one another, the day moves at a relaxed pace with time to swim and float at each beach rather than a quick succession of photo stops.

Is this one for you?Four hours is long enough to visit all four beaches and spend real time swimming at each one, but short enough to fit into an afternoon if you arrive on Paros in the morning or have other plans later in the day. The private boat means no set schedule beyond your own group's pace at each stop.
