The experience

The route starts with a drive along the coast, passing Villefranche and Cap Ferrat before climbing to Eze, a village perched on a cliff above the Mediterranean. Eze sits high enough that it reads as an eagle's nest from below, and the narrow streets and stone buildings fill the stop. After Eze, the tour moves into Monaco itself, where you walk through the Old Town to see the Prince's Palace (the official residence of Prince Albert II and home to the Grimaldi dynasty since the 13th century), along with the Cathedral and Courthouse. The guide points out the Mediterranean views from the palace square.

The Fragonard Perfume Factory visit is included as a guided tour, so you learn how the factory makes fragrances and cosmetics rather than browsing alone.
