The experience

You operate the quad bike yourself across the Sinai desert, riding through dunes and past the Echo Mountains with a professional instructor and guide leading the way. The ride lasts roughly 90 minutes depending on your pace and the terrain, and you'll stop at a traditional Bedouin village where the camp sits. This is where the pace shifts: camel rides loop around the camp with time to photograph the landscape and the animals, and the group gathers as the sun sets.

Dinner arrives as darkness falls: a BBQ spread of grilled meat, fresh flatbread baked on-site, and aromatic herbal tea. While you eat, a Tanoura dancer performs in traditional spinning skirts, and fire shows light up the desert sky. The whole experience, from hotel pickup to drop-off, runs about five hours. Vegetarian and vegan options are available if you request them when you book.

The activity comes in several formats: single or double quads, a 2-seater buggy, or a 4-seater buggy. Each option includes the full program of dinner and show. There's also a stargazing add-on with telescope observation depending on which option you choose. If you want the quad ride without the evening meal, that option exists too. All taxes, fees and entrance to the desert area are included. Pickup from Sharm El Sheikh hotels is part of the booking.
