The experience

The activity starts with hotel pickup and transport to the quad bike station, where you get a full briefing on the machine and a chance to test drive before the group sets off. You'll wear a helmet and operate the bike yourself across the Red Sea desert landscape. This is not a guided tour where someone else drives. The ride covers sand dunes and open terrain for roughly an hour before the first stop at a cave area where sound echoes off the rock, a natural acoustic feature the desert holds.

After the caves, you continue to the Bedouin village, where the pace shifts. Here you dismount, drink traditional Bedouin tea, and see how the local community lives in the desert. The village stop gives your body a break before the return ride back through the dunes to the starting point. The whole outing runs about 2.5 hours from pickup to drop-off.

A live guide speaks English, Italian, Arabic or Russian and travels with the group. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, as is the helmet and the quad bike itself. You'll need a valid driver's license to operate the bike, and the activity is not suitable for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries or serious heart conditions.
