The experience

You get picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and driven to the desert launch point. Once there, you climb into a dune buggy (either a 2-seater or a 4-seater depending on your booking), and take the wheel yourself. This is not a guided tour where someone else drives. You operate the buggy across the open terrain while a professional guide rides with you. The timing matters: you choose a sunrise or sunset departure, which means you're navigating the landscape as the light shifts, not in the flat heat of midday.

The buggy handles the rugged ground, and the route takes you deep enough into the Sinai to reach a Bedouin village (if your option includes the camel ride). That's where the second part happens. You dismount and ride a camel through the village, a slower pace after the speed of the buggy. The whole experience runs about 90 minutes from start to finish. A safety helmet is provided. Infants must sit on an adult's lap during the buggy portion, and the ride is not recommended for anyone with spinal injuries.

The guide stays with you throughout and handles the logistics (navigation, safety checks, the village stop), so you can focus on driving. Hotel drop-off happens after you return, which means no arranging a separate ride back to town.
