The experience
You arrive at the zipline site after a pickup from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. A trained guide briefs you on the equipment and technique, then you clip into a harness that has been tested for safety and designed to keep you secure as you move from platform to platform. The eight ziplines carry you across 1.2 miles of landscape, passing over mountains, rivers and waterfalls as you progress through the course. Each line is strung between platforms positioned at different heights and angles, so the ride changes as you move through the terrain.
The guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or one of two additional languages, so instruction and safety checks happen in your own language. All harnesses, helmets and safety gear are provided and fitted before you start. The pace is set by the guide and the group size, so you move through the course together rather than racing ahead on your own schedule.
After you finish the ziplines, you have time to rest at the site or explore nearby attractions before the return trip to your hotel. The whole experience, including transportation and instruction, takes about four hours from pickup to drop-off. If your hotel is in Uvero Alto, Cap Cana or Cabeza de Toro, an additional transportation fee applies at checkout.
