The experience

Check in 15 minutes before departure, get fitted for a helmet, and take individual training on the spacious ground near the tour start. It's genuinely easy: the guide walks you through it. Once you're comfortable, you roll out along the water in a car-free zone, which is where most of the route stays. Within five minutes you're at the Little Mermaid. Your guide points out a hidden second mermaid sculpture nearby that most visitors miss. From there the Segway does the work while you navigate through Toldboden's maritime history, past the old customs buildings and shipping headquarters, then along the harborfront toward Nyhavn.

The route threads through Ofelia Square (where you get a photo of the Opera House across the water), past the Royal Danish Cast Museum, and straight into Nyhavn's colored row houses: your guide shares stories about the famous residents who lived there. Halfway through, you reach Kongens Nytorv, the central square.
