The experience

You arrive 15 minutes early for helmet fitting and a personal radio so you hear the guide clearly. Training takes another 15 minutes: the operator says it's easy, and you practice until comfortable before the group rolls out. The tour itself runs two hours, moving through Copenhagen on the Segway while your guide narrates the stops: Strøget's pedestrian street, the Kings Square with its 18th-century hotels, Amalienborg Palace where the Queen and crown prince live, the Gefion Fountain, the Little Mermaid statue, and the car-free harborside zone where Kastellet (a 17th-century military fortress still in use) sits overlooking the water.
