The Experience

I didn’t expect to be out of breath before we’d even tasted any wine — but that first stop at the Napoleon fortress above Hvar town did it. I mean, 250 meters up sounds like nothing until you’re standing there, wind tugging at your shirt, looking down at the tangled streets and the islands scattered like coins.
