The experience
The day starts with pickup at 7 am, then a drive to Iguazu National Park to catch the first jungle train at 8:30, which takes you straight to Devil's Throat. You'll walk 2.2 km on flat ground to see the falls in early light with far fewer tourists than the standard tour groups encounter. From there, the same train carries you to the upper circuit (another 1.9 km of walking across the top of the cataract) before you board the vehicle again and head to the Brazilian side.
The Brazilian portion is a 1.4 km walk where you face the full sweep of over 275 individual falls at once. The guide's strategy of routing opposite to the large agencies means you move through the parks when the main crowds are elsewhere, which changes how the walkways feel and how long you can linger at each vantage. An air-conditioned vehicle handles all transport between the Argentine and Brazilian sides, and the guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian and German depending on your group.
The full day runs about eight hours of actual walking and travel combined. Wheelchair users can access all areas and surfaces. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available in the vehicle. You'll need at least a moderate level of fitness for the walking distances, but the terrain is flat and there's no scrambling or water entry involved.

How do I get from the Argentine side to the Brazilian side during the tour?
After the upper circuit walk on the Argentine side, you board the vehicle and drive to the Brazilian park. The guide handles the crossing and the logistics of moving between the two countries.
What time do we actually see the falls at Devil's Throat?
The jungle train departs at 8:30 am, so you reach Devil's Throat in early morning when the first sunlight hits the water. This timing is the reason the guide books the earliest train slot.
Will I be walking with large tour groups the whole time?
No. The guide deliberately routes the tour opposite to how the big traditional excursions move through the parks, so you encounter far fewer tourists on the walkways and can appreciate the falls without the crowds.
What's included in the price, and what do I pay separately?
The tour includes the guide, air-conditioned vehicle, hotel or airport pickup, and return transport. You pay separately for the Argentine park ticket and the Brazilian park ticket at the gates.
Is this tour accessible for wheelchairs or strollers?
Yes. All areas and surfaces in both parks are wheelchair accessible, and the vehicle is wheelchair accessible. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available in the vehicle.
