The experience
The tour starts with private transport to the Brazilian side, where you walk the trails and get the panoramic view of the Falls as you move closer. The Brazilian perspective shows the scale and power of the water from a distance, then pulls you in as the path descends. After you've covered the Brazilian trails, the guide drives you across the border to the Argentine side, where the trails take you much nearer to the Falls themselves: close enough to feel the spray and the force of the water. The Argentine side is where you experience the Falls' strength directly. The trails there run over the river and let you see the wildlife of the National Park Iguazu as well.
The Argentine side offers three main trail options: the Upper, Lower, and Devil's Throat. Which ones you walk depends on how much time you have left and how much walking you want to do. The guide organizes the day to fit as much as possible into eight hours, so the itinerary is not fixed. It's built around your energy and interests. If you want to add a boat ride or visit the bird park, those can be worked in as well, though they're separate bookings.
Private transport means you travel in an air-conditioned vehicle with just your group, and the guide handles the route and the timing. The tour is wheelchair accessible, and infants and small children can travel in a pram or stroller. All entry fees and taxes are separate from the tour price.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
What's the difference between the Brazilian and Argentine sides of Iguazu Falls?
The Brazilian side gives you sweeping panoramic views as you walk the trails and get progressively closer to the Falls. The Argentine side puts you much nearer to the water (the trails run over the river itself), so you experience the Falls' power and spray directly. The Argentine trails also pass through the National Park where you can see the local wildlife.
Can I do both sides in one day, or do I have to choose?
Both sides fit into one day with this tour. The guide uses private transport to move between them and adjusts which trails you walk on the Argentine side based on your time and energy, so you see the best of both in eight hours.
What are the Upper, Lower, and Devil's Throat trails?
These are three separate walking trails on the Argentine side of the Falls. The guide chooses which ones you do depending on how much time remains in your day and how much walking you want to do. All three offer different angles on the Falls and the surrounding park.
Do I need a passport to cross from Brazil to Argentina?
You'll need a valid passport to cross the border. The guide will advise you about any visa requirements or entry fees for Argentina before the tour starts.
Can I add the boat ride or bird park to this tour?
Yes. The boat ride and bird park are separate bookings and separate costs, but the guide can work them into your day if you want to add them. Let the guide know your interests when you book, and they'll organize the timing to fit everything in.
