The experience

The day starts with hotel pickup and a 3 km drive through Atlantic Forest in an open wagon pulled by a jeep, where your guide explains the ecology as you move deeper into Iguaçu National Park. Once you reach the river, a speedboat takes you as close as possible to the falls themselves: close enough to feel the spray and hear the roar. After the boat ride, you explore the park on foot at your own pace, walking the walkways that run alongside multiple falls and lead to the Devil's Throat, the largest cascade.

Lunch happens at a restaurant perched at the top of the falls with views across the canyon, serving an all-you-can-eat buffet. The Bird Park comes next: a 1.5 km flat walk through rainforest aviaries where you see native Atlantic Forest species and tropical birds up close. Your guide remains with you throughout, offering practical tips and handling the timing so everything fits inside the eight hours.

The private format means no fixed group schedule and no waiting for other travelers. Your driver is a licensed bilingual guide (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French or another language) who can answer questions as they come up.
