The experience
The walk starts on the School Park Trail, where you move through dense Atlantic Forest vegetation while your guide points out the fauna and flora specific to this region. The second leg takes you to the St. John River Trail, where a smaller waterfall offers a different perspective on the water and geology of the park. You finish on the Iguaçu Falls Trail, following passages that lead to viewing points of the main falls: the visual anchor of the day.
Your guide is accredited and speaks English, Spanish or Portuguese, and can be arranged at pickup. The full walk takes about 6 hours and covers roughly 4 kilometers across the park's most varied terrain. Pickup is included, so you don't arrange transport separately. The pace is steady but not rushed, built around a moderate level of physical fitness. The terrain is natural trail rather than paved path.

Is this one for you?Six hours on foot means you'll need the morning or afternoon free, but the walk is built for moderate fitness rather than endurance athletes, so it leaves room for a second activity or a meal elsewhere in your day if you start early.
