The experience

The Au Co leaves Hanoi and arrives at Ha Long Bay in the afternoon. After boarding and a safety briefing, you kayak into the Ho Ba Ham area: emerald waters, limestone cliffs, and hidden lakes that open up as you paddle deeper. That evening, watch the sunset from the deck during Happy Hour, the bay turning gold behind the limestone peaks. Your cabin is air-conditioned with an en-suite bathroom. Dinner and a welcome drink are included.

Day two starts with an optional sunrise Tai Chi session on the sundeck if you want it. Then you choose: kayak or row out to the Cua Van Floating Village in the heart of Ha Long Bay (Travel & Leisure named it one of the world's most beautiful destinations), or visit Tien Ong Cave, known for its archaeological finds and striking rock formations. Both options depend on weather and tidal conditions. Breakfast and lunch are served on board. The cruise itinerary can shift due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions, so the exact stops and timing are confirmed closer to your departure date.

Meals are fusion Vietnamese, seafood and international. Let the crew know about dietary requirements or allergies at least a week ahead. WiFi is free on the terrace deck, though the signal at sea can be patchy. All taxes, fees and handling charges are included in the price. If you book the option with transfer, a shared vehicle picks you up in Hanoi and returns you there after disembarkation at Tuan Chau harbor.
