The experience
The ship leaves Tuan Chau Marina at noon after you check into a cabin with a private balcony and sea view. The first afternoon takes you to Luon Cave for kayaking, then Titop Island by tender before sunset. Back on deck at 5:30pm, you join a cooking class and happy hour (buy two drinks, get one free) while the ship cruises, then sit down to a gala dinner on the sundeck if weather allows. The night unfolds on deck with the bay lit only by starlight and the ship's lights.
Day two starts at 6:15am with Tai Chi on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast. At 7:30am you explore Sung Sot Cave, one of the largest in Ha Long Bay. The morning after returns you to the ship for a herbal foot bath, time to rest or sunbathe, and a chance to photograph the limestone landscape. Checkout is at 9:30am, and an early lunch buffet precedes the return to Tuan Chau Marina at 11am. The three-hour transfer back to Hanoi is included.
Night squid fishing happens the evening of day one. You cast lines from the deck under the crew's direction.
