The experience

Two hours means you ride the quad yourself through seasonal terrain (waterfall routes, mountain overlooks, coconut and rubber plantations, river crossings) with a local guide leading the group. The operator has been running this route for over 15 years and keeps the group size under 20 quads, which matters when you're navigating narrow jungle tracks. You get a helmet and basic training at the base before you leave, so the first time on the quad is not your first time on the trail.

Morning tours start between 10:30 and 11:00. Afternoon tours between 14:30 and 15:00, every day year-round. Hotel pickup runs between 10:00–10:30 for the morning slot, so you need to be ready on time. The guide speaks English and Thai, and if you book the 1-hour option but want to keep riding once you're out there, you can extend to 2 hours and pay the difference when you return. Families are welcome: children from age 5 ride as passengers at half price, and kids over 12 can take the ability test at the base and ride their own quad.

Dress for mud and rain. The operation runs in all weather and you'll be on wet, seasonal tracks. If at any moment you feel uncomfortable, the guide is there to help. This is built as a leisure activity for all levels, not a performance test. Cruise passengers need to provide ship name, docking time and re-boarding time when booking so the guide can get you back to the port on schedule.
