The experience

Your driver picks you up from your hotel or villa anywhere on the island and brings you to the basecamp at Maenam in the north. Before you head out, your guide walks you through the ATV controls and safety basics, then you're on the quad, following the guide's route through the wide plantation trails. The Durian plantations open onto different viewpoints where you can stop and take pictures across the island landscape.

The ride ends at a secret waterfall where you can swim and cool off. You get bottled water and local seasonal fruit during the stop, and the whole outing (from pickup to drop-off back at your accommodation) takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. A professional guide leads the way in English, French or Thai, and helmets are provided. If you want to capture the ride, GoPro mounts are available to attach to your quad.
