The experience
You arrive for an evening that starts in the kitchen, not at a table. Roberto and his partner walk you through the menu as you work: slicing Iberian ham to layer with aged Manchego cheese on crostini, searing prawns for the gazpacho sauce, shaping meatballs in saffron and white wine. Each tapa teaches you something about technique or ingredient: why the potatoes bravo need two frying stages, how to know when scallops are done by touch. The kitchen is small enough that you're cooking alongside them, not watching a demonstration.
After three hours of prep and plating, you move to the table with everything you've made. The menu runs from seafood (grilled scallops with garlic herb butter, seared prawns) through beef carpaccio with lemon oil and parmesan, to vegetables like deep-fried piquillo peppers and crispy potatoes with aioli. There's no rush through courses. You eat at the pace the evening sets, and the chef sits with you. This is not a cooking class that ends when the timer goes off. It ends when dinner is done.
Roberto trained in Paris at eighteen, then spent over a decade as a chef and restaurant manager in London's French and Italian fine-dining kitchens. He moved to Tenerife five years ago and now cooks this way deliberately: small groups, one evening, the same person who taught you at the stove pouring the wine at dinner. The experience is built around the idea that a meal tastes different when you made it.

Is this one for you?The three-hour commitment means you're cooking and eating in one evening, so it works for a free night in Tenerife but not if you're juggling multiple activities. Choose this if you want to learn while you cook, not watch a chef work. You'll have your hands in the food and your seat at the table afterward.

Yes. Ticket types: Child (under 13): free.
What kind of tapas will I actually cook during the three hours?
The menu changes with the season, but typically includes Iberian ham crostini with Manchego cheese, seared prawns in gazpacho sauce, beef meatballs in saffron and white wine, beef carpaccio with lemon oil and parmesan, potatoes bravas with spicy tomato sauce and aioli, grilled scallops with garlic herb butter, deep-fried piquillo peppers, and piquillo and goat cheese crostini. Roberto teaches you the technique for each one as you prepare it together.
Do I need cooking experience to join this dinner?
No. The class is designed for anyone who wants to cook and eat tapas, regardless of skill level. Roberto and his partner guide you through each step, and the focus is on learning while you work, not on prior kitchen knowledge.
