The day starts with pickup from Hongik University Station or Myeongdong Station in Seoul, then travels an hour to Suwon. You'll walk Hwaseong Fortress, the only remaining walled fortress in Korea and a UNESCO World Heritage Site: one of the country's most important historical treasures. The fortress sits at the heart of Suwon's old city, and the guide will walk you through its layout and the Joseon Dynasty's defensive strategy that shaped it.

Next is Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, a restored royal compound within the same UNESCO site. This was the largest temporary palace of the Joseon Dynasty, and the visit includes traditional performances: royal guard ceremonies and martial arts shows happen during the day, so you'll see the palace as a living space, not a ruin.
