The Experience
Your guide meets you at your hotel, airport, or cruise port and drives you through Tangier in an air-conditioned vehicle. The route takes in the Mohammed V Mosque, the Marshan Palace, and the Forest Perdicaris before heading to Cap Spartel, a promontory 1,000 feet above sea level at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. From there you see where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea.
The Caves of Hercules sit below Cap Spartel, with two entrances—one to the sea and one to land. The sea entrance is known as "The Map of Africa," a natural rock formation believed to have been shaped by the Phoenicians. After the caves, you ride a camel along the Atlantic sandy beach, then move on to the Tangier Kasbah, a hilltop palace complex built by Sultan Moulay Ismail. The Kasbah Museum of Mediterranean Cultures is included, and you'll walk through the Medina's narrow streets and colorful markets with your guide, who helps you find quality crafts and negotiate fair prices if you want to buy. A coffee, tea, or orange juice is included during the tour.
The Medina also includes the Moshe Nahon Synagogue and the American Legation, the first American public property outside the United States, which marks the diplomatic history between Morocco and the US. You'll have time to explore and shop before returning to your starting point.

Yes, a camel ride on the Atlantic sandy beach is included in the tour. It takes place after you visit the Caves of Hercules.
Does the tour include meals, or just drinks?

Is this tour private, or will I be sharing with other travelers?
