You start at the Koutoubia Mosque, a 12th-century Moorish landmark that anchors the city's geography. The guide explains what you're looking at from the outside, then walks you through the Jewish Mellah and into Bahia Palace, where you move through residential riads, official reception rooms, ornate fountains and carved cedar ceilings without waiting in line at the door.

From there, the route takes you deeper into the medina's authentic neighborhoods and into Ben Youssef Medrasa, a 16th-century Islamic college that once housed up to 900 students.
