The Experience

Your guide picks you up from your hotel within Marrakech's city center and takes you first to Majorelle Garden, a small tropical garden laid out in the inter-war period by a French artist. Entry is €15 and requires an online ticket with a timed slot between 9am–12pm or 2pm–5pm; your guide can adjust the route if you skip this stop. From there, the tour moves through the medina to Koutoubia Mosque, where the 65-meter minaret dominates the skyline, then into the old Jewish quarter to see how its residents lived differently from other Marrakech inhabitants.

Bahia Palace comes next — a 19th-century structure built as a maze of patios planted with fruit trees, passageways and chambers with painted ceilings. Sunlight streams through wrought-iron bars onto zellige tiles, creating patterns across the floors. The tour then reaches Bab Agnaou, the entrance to the royal Kasbah in the southern medina, built by the Almohad Sultan Yacoub al-Mansour and home to the Kasbah Mosque, El Badi Palace and the Saadian Tombs. You finish at Djemaa el-Fna Square, which is both a major tourist draw and a genuine social hub for Marrakech residents and visitors from surrounding regions.

The souk around Djemaa el-Fna offers a real immersion in traditional trades — wood, pottery, leather, jewelry, weaving, tapestry, herbal products, traditional pastries and cosmetics.
