The experience

The tour runs 3 to 4 hours and covers Marrakech's most visited palaces and gardens in a single loop. You're picked up at your hotel, then driven through the medina and the modern Guéliz district to reach each site. The Majorelle Garden (a 40-year creation of exotic plants and Art Deco Moorish buildings, later saved from demolition by Yves Saint Laurent) is one stop. Bahia Palace, a 19th-century masterpiece of Andalusian architecture built by a minister for his wife, is another. The Saadian Tombs, remnants of the dynasty that ruled Marrakech's golden age, sit next to the Kasbah Mosque and were sealed up for centuries before being reopened to visitors.

Admission passes to Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, Jamaa El-Fna square, Jnan Harti Garden and the Tanneries are included. Tickets for Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Badii Palace and Majorelle Garden are available as add-ons at checkout, so you choose which palaces and gardens matter most to your day. The driver navigates the narrow medina streets and parks near each entrance. Most monuments don't have dedicated parking areas, so you'll stay in contact with the driver by phone between stops.
