The Evolution zip line drops you 1 km through the canopy at breathtaking speed.

This activity combines ATV riding, zip lining, abseiling and cave exploration in the Tulum jungle over 5.5 hours, with a guide in English or Spanish, lunch and air-conditioned transport. You ride jungle paths on a quad bike, fly across the Evolution zip line—the longest in the Riviera Maya—rappel down a vertical wall, descend into a cave cenote to see stalactites, and witness a brief Mayan ceremony. Maximum weight on zip lines is 115 kg (230 lb); children from age 5 are welcome.

The Experience

The day starts with an ATV ride into the jungle. You cross paths carved through dense growth, feeling the wind as the landscape opens around you—this is where the adrenaline begins. The quad bike takes you deep enough to reach the zip line circuit, where the real intensity kicks in.

The Evolution zip line is the centerpiece: 1 km of cable strung through the canopy at a speed that leaves most riders breathless. After that rush, you move to an abseiling wall where you rappel down using ropes and harness, controlling your own descent. Then comes the cave cenote—a drop into an underground chamber where stalactites hang from the ceiling and the air shifts cool and still. A guide walks you through a brief Mayan ceremony in this space, grounding the physical intensity in the spiritual history of the place. Bottled water and lunch are provided, and the air-conditioned vehicle handles transport to and from your hotel.

The whole experience runs 5.5 hours. A live guide leads in English or Spanish, and children from age 5 can participate. The weight limit on zip lines is 115 kg (230 lb)—if you're near that threshold, confirm with the operator before booking.

Operated by The Jungle Experience

Is this one for you?You operate the ATV and zip line yourself rather than watching a guide demonstrate, so this suits anyone who wants to control the intensity and feel the adrenaline firsthand. The shared guide and transport keep the cost down compared to a private version, and the 5.5-hour span means you can fit it into a day without sacrificing the rest of your itinerary.
