The Experience

The day starts with hotel pickup and a drive to the jungle trailhead. Once you're on the 450cc ATV, you navigate uneven terrain at speed—the trails are designed to test your handling, not cruise at a walk. The guide leads the way and sets the pace; you follow through dense vegetation and open stretches of the Mayan jungle. Helmets and all riding gear are provided. After the riding portion, the group moves to the Tulum ruins, an archaeological site perched on a cliff above the Caribbean, where you have time to walk the grounds before heading to the cenote.

The cenote is an underground river system fed by natural springs—the water stays cold and clear year-round. You snorkel in this sacred space, moving through passages carved into limestone over thousands of years. Basic swimming skills are required, and snorkeling equipment is included. After the cenote, the group returns to the minivan for the ride back to your hotel, with a buffet lunch served during the day to refuel between activities.

The full outing takes seven hours.
