ATVs through the jungle, zip lines above the canopy, rappelling down cliffs, and a swim in a Mayan cenote—all in one afternoon

A full-day activity in Tulum combining ATV riding, zip-lining, rappelling and cenote swimming with a certified guide, lunch and round-trip transport. The day runs 5.5 hours and suits all fitness levels; children are welcome from age 6. You choose between a shared ATV or a single ATV at checkout.

The Experience

The day starts with a ride into the Tulum jungle on an ATV, navigating rugged trails and the surrounding terrain. From there you move to the zip lines—a full kilometer of them—where you glide from platform to platform above the canopy. The certified guide leads the whole sequence and handles the logistics; round-trip transport from your hotel is included, so you show up ready to ride.

After the zip lines comes the rappelling: a 7-meter descent down steep cliffs surrounded by jungle vegetation. Then you reach the cenote—a natural sinkhole with turquoise water—where you swim and cool off. Lifejackets are provided, and lockers keep your gear safe while you're in the water. A traditional Mayan ceremony is woven into the day, and lunch follows: local flavors including rice, beans, and beef or chicken fajitas, plus flavored waters.

The activity is open to all fitness levels, though it does pack multiple adrenaline moments into a short window. You'll need to decide at checkout whether you want a shared ATV or a single ATV; if your group size is uneven and you pick shared, the solo rider converts to a single ATV at an additional charge. The guide speaks English or Spanish.

Is this one for you?Choose the shared ATV option if you're traveling with a partner and want to keep costs down; pick the single ATV if you prefer to ride independently through the jungle or if your group has an uneven number of people. Either way, the guide and all the activity stations—zip lines, rappelling, cenote—stay the same.

How long does the whole experience take?

The full day runs 5.5 hours from start to finish, including the ATV ride, zip lines, rappelling, cenote swim, Mayan ceremony and lunch.
