After Jade Caverns, the route cuts through El Cedral, a Mayan village where most residents are of Mayan descent. You'll walk around to see a 900-year-old temple and one of Cozumel's oldest Catholic churches, built centuries after the temple itself. There's time to browse the black coral jewelry and other crafts locals make and sell—no pressure, just the option. The guide walks with you and fills in the history; the village is small enough that you're not rushing through it.

The day wraps with a tequila tasting—a variety of artisanal organic bottles—before the ride back to wherever you started.
