The experience

The boat leaves the marina in the morning and heads straight for the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, the rock formation that marks where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. You get time to photograph it from the water before the crew turns the boat toward Chileno Bay. The snorkeling happens in a protected area where the operator has designated the zone and stationed a guide in the water with you. You wear provided gear (mask, fins, snorkel), and spend time exploring the marine life at your own pace. The guide is there if you need help, but the bay is shallow enough and calm enough that you move around freely.

When you climb back onto the boat, a spread of Mexican breakfast is laid out: burritos, chilaquiles, scrambled eggs, pancakes and bacon. The open bar runs through the return trip with beer, margaritas, mimosas, Bloody Marys and sodas for kids. Live music plays on deck and there are games and activities if you want them, or you can sit and watch the water. The whole experience runs three hours from start to finish.
