You board at Dock #1 on the marina, spend 45 minutes circling El Arco and five other landmarks with a bilingual guide, see sea lions and fish through the glass-bottom window, and return to the same dock. Life jackets and all fees are included; departures run throughout the day so you can book around your schedule.
You've just landed in Cabo San Lucas, or you're staying nearby with a free afternoon. The marina is right there, and Dock #1 is easy to find — look for the green gate by the dolphins center, near the circle of surfboards. You'll meet the crew a few minutes before your departure time, which runs between 9 AM and 4 PM depending on what fits your schedule. The boat holds a small group, so it stays manageable, and you'll get a text with the exact meeting spot before you arrive.
The tour itself is 45 minutes, and you're seeing El Arco first — that's the famous limestone arch at Land's End where the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez meet. After that, the boat moves through Lover's Beach, Pelican Rock, the Sea Lion Colony (where you'll actually spot them lounging on the rocks), Pirate's Cave, and a few other spots around the point. There's a glass-bottom window so you can see fish without the whole boat being glass — the operator explains that's a safety regulation in Mexico, and honestly, you can still see plenty through the rectangle window and from both sides of the boat. The guide does live commentary the whole time, and it's bilingual, so you're getting the history and the stories as you go.
One thing to know: if the ocean is running high tide, Lover's Beach closes for the day, and you won't be able to drop off there — it's a safety call, not a cancellation. The boat itself is stable, but you will get wet, so bring a waterproof camera and wear clothes you don't mind soaking. Life jackets are included, and the crew takes safety seriously. If you want to add whale watching, that's available December through April as an upgrade, but the basic tour is just the arch and the marine life around it. All fees and taxes are built in, and there are zero dock fees — that's something the operator emphasizes because other boats charge you at the end. You're not getting hotel pickup, so you'll need to arrange your own way to the marina, but public transportation is nearby if you don't have a rental.
