The Experience

“That’s Scooby Doo Rock — see it?” our captain grinned, pointing with a sun-worn hand as we drifted out from the marina in Cabo San Lucas. I squinted through the glass bottom of the boat, distracted for a second by flashes of yellow fish darting under us. The water was so clear it almost felt fake. Pelicans circled overhead, dropping shadows across the deck.
