Taste Prosecco with family-made salumi on sunlit hills before a hilltop feast
A private Prosecco tour from Treviso takes you through the UNESCO Conegliano Valdobbiadene wine region to two small family-run wineries where you taste DOCG Prosecco with local charcuterie and cheese, then sit down to a three-course lunch with wine and water at a hilltop osteria. The tour runs 6 to 7 hours and includes private transport, all tastings, and a full meal.
Step-by-step itinerary
Prosecco Hills Tour with Tastings and Lunch
- Travel to Conegliano hills
- Introduction to local wine and products
- First winery Prosecco tasting
- Lunch with water, wine, first and second courses
- Second winery technical Prosecco tasting
- Return to pick up location
The Experience
The tour starts in Treviso, Conegliano, or Piazzale Roma in Venice, your choice of pickup, and heads into the Prosecco hills with a guide who walks you through the territory, the wines, and the food that define the region. At the first winery, a small family operation, you taste DOCG Prosecco outdoors, paired with salumi and cheese. The guide explains what you're drinking as you go.
Lunch lasts roughly an hour and a half at a local osteria with views across the hills. Antipasti, a first course, a second course, water and coffee are all included. After you eat, you move to the second winery for a more technical tasting: the guide walks through how different terroirs and production methods shape the Prosecco, and you taste several expressions of high-quality DOCG. A small meal at a local taverna comes with this stop too, and the views are part of the experience.
Your guide speaks English, Spanish or Italian. The vehicle is air-conditioned and holds your group alone. You return to your starting point by early evening.

Is this one for you?Six to seven hours means you can do this as a full day trip from Venice or Treviso and still have the morning or evening free, but not both. If you're splitting your time between wine and other sights in the region, book this when you have a full afternoon and evening, or a full morning and afternoon, to spare.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
Can I arrange pickup from Venice instead of Treviso?
Yes. The tour picks up from Piazzale Roma in Venice, Treviso, or Conegliano, so you choose the location that fits your itinerary.
What exactly do I taste at each winery?
At the first winery you taste DOCG Prosecco with local charcuterie and cheese in an outdoor setting. At the second, smaller winery you do a technical tasting of several high-quality DOCG Proseccos, where the guide explains the differences in territory and production methods behind each one.
Is wine included in the price, or do I pay separately?
Wine is included. Prosecco tastings at both wineries and wine with lunch are part of the tour. You don't pay extra for them.
How much time do I spend eating versus tasting?
Lunch takes about an hour and a half. The two tastings, travel between sites, and the guide's explanations fill the rest of the 6 to 7 hours.
What's the difference between the two wineries?
The first is a family winery where you taste outdoors with food pairings and get an introduction to the region. The second is a very small family operation where the tasting is more technical. The guide goes deeper into how the wines are made and how the landscape shapes what's in your glass.
Do I need to know about wine to enjoy this tour?
No. The guide explains the territory, the wines and the production as you go, so you learn as you taste. The tour is built for people discovering the region, not for experts only.
