The experience
You arrive at a local home in Treviso and work alongside a Cesarina (a member of Italy's oldest network of home cooks), who teaches you the family recipes she learned from her own mamma and nonnas. The class is hands-on: you mix, knead and shape the pizza dough, then move to tiramisu, layering and chilling it yourself. Both dishes are built from scratch, no shortcuts, and the host walks you through the techniques that make the difference between a flat dough and one that rises, between a tiramisu that holds its shape and one that collapses.
Once everything is ready, you sit down to eat what you made. The pizza comes out of the oven, the tiramisu is plated, and a selection of local wines is poured. This is not a tasting of someone else's work. It is the meal you built, tasted at the table where it belongs. Water and coffee round out the spread. The whole experience runs three hours, structured so the cooking and the eating fit inside one afternoon or evening.
Le Cesarine hosts open their own homes for these classes, so the setting is intimate and the instruction is personal. Families with children of any age are welcome, and the hands-on format means kids can participate at their own level. You leave with the apron, the recipes in your head, and the confidence to throw a pizza party once you're home.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 8 years); Infant (under 4): free.
Can I do this class if I've never cooked pizza or tiramisu before?
Yes. The Cesarina teaches you from the start, showing you how to work the dough and build the tiramisu layer by layer. No prior experience is needed. The class is designed for learners.
What happens if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
Contact the host before the class to discuss what you can and cannot eat. The core ingredients (flour, eggs, mascarpone, cocoa) are standard to both dishes, so substitutions depend on what the host can accommodate.
Is the class really in someone's home, or is it in a kitchen studio?
It's in a Cesarina's own home in Treviso. Le Cesarine are home cooks who invite travelers into their kitchens, so the setting is residential and personal, not a commercial cooking school.
How much of the tiramisu and pizza do I get to eat?
You eat what you make. The pizza and tiramisu you prepare during the class become your meal, served with local wine, water and coffee included.
Can I choose between the class alone or the class with dinner?
Yes. You can book the pizza and tiramisu class by itself, or add a full dinner option at checkout. Both include the hands-on instruction and tasting of what you prepare.
