The Experience
The day starts at the Ducati factory in Bologna with a 50-minute walk through the assembly line, from the machining area to the moment each motorcycle first fires up for testing, and a look at the Ducati Corse racing department. The museum sits inside the original factory and holds 45 motorcycles spanning the brand's history, from the first Cucciolo to the latest Moto GP champion bikes. You move through the same building where these hand-built machines are still assembled.
From there, the Mercedes van carries you south to Maranello for the Ferrari museum, which displays more than 50 cars including Alberto Ascari's 500 F2 (Ferrari's first world championship car in 1952) and Michael Schumacher's F2004. The museum rotates its exhibitions annually. The current show focuses on Ferraris that marked technological leaps in the marque's evolution. After Ferrari, you head to the Lamborghini museum near Sant'Agata Bolognese, where you'll see over 20 models: the legendary Miura and Countach alongside newer Reventóns, Venenos and the Urus SUV. On the GOLD option, a 50-minute factory tour follows, walking the assembly stations and finishing in the upholstery atelier where the interiors are hand-finished. On the PURPLE option, this factory tour is available for an additional charge.
Lunch is a four-course authentic Bolognese meal at a local restaurant, eaten between the museum stops. All transfers happen in a shared luxury air-conditioned Mercedes van with a licensed English-speaking guide for the day. The tour runs 8 to 9 hours total and is guaranteed to depart. Children are welcome from age 6.
