The experience

You arrive at Livorno Port and meet your driver at the ship. From there, the minivan takes you straight into Chianti's vineyard-covered hills. The route passes through the countryside dotted with cypresses and olive groves, and your first stop is a local winery where you walk the cellar, taste the wine, and eat fresh bruschetta. The driver provides commentary from the vehicle about what you pass, though they are not a licensed guide and cannot enter churches or monuments.

After the winery, you drive to Montefioralle and Panzano, two medieval villages where you explore at your own pace. In Greve (the heart of Chianti Classico wine country). You have time to walk around Piazza Matteotti and, if you want, visit the famous butcher shop to taste cured meat with a glass of wine. Lunch is your choice: a typical Chianti trattoria or a private home meal (both available at checkout, paid in cash on the day). The driver then returns you to the port in time for your ship.

The air-conditioned minivan seats your group privately, with pickup and drop-off at the port included. Wi-Fi is available on most vehicles. Wine tasting costs €30 per person, paid on the spot at the winery. If you choose the private home lunch, that is €70 per person, also paid in cash and subject to availability.
